French Socialist Party defeated

DZIQ 990 AM– The French Socialist Party (PS) lost Sunday in the second round of the local elections. For PS President François Hollande, this is considered a “dramatic and historical defeat” for his party. They lose Toulouse, Pau, Reims, Saint Etienne, Limoges, Ajaccio, Roubaix, Belfort and Quimper. The spokesman of the Socialist government said that the election result was “undeniably bad”. The government must “re-engage in a dialogue with the citizens.”

Marine Le Pen of the National Front is a happy woman today. She called it, “The best score in the history of the party.” The leader of the right-wing party UMP, Jean-Francois Cope called the outcome “a great victory” for his party, who finished first place in several French cities.

– A Belgian woman in Mozambique almost lost her hand after she was attacked by three burglars with a machete. She was taken to the hospital immediately for emergency surgery. Police spokesman Chaaguro Momad confirmed that the Belgian businesswoman was seriously injured. Neighbor and friend of the victim who rushed to assist her said that her hand was hanging only by a thread attached to her arm. She was then taken to the hospital immediately for emergency surgery. The woman lives in the Pemba region for seven years where foreigners are currently investing in natural gas. They built a house in an area where a wealthy French-Belgian family also has properties.

– Meanwhile, a Jewish school in Belgiëlei, Antwerp, Belgium has been visited by vandals who sprayed graffiti of swastikas and “Hitler” on the walls. The parents who brought their children to Sunday school were also shocked when they saw it. The police were called and an investigation started.
