DZIQ 990 AM– The former Greek Transport Minister Michalis Liapsis was caught driving with fake number plates. During a routine control near Athens, it was proven than documents of his 4×4 proved incorrect. His vehicle was not insured and the former minister had no driver’s license in his pocket. According to the police of the poverty-stricken country, the man tried to evade taxes for the car. What he did is however an offense and may cost him a fine of 15,000 euros.

– Meanwhile, by 2015, the Flemish government wants all men and women between 55 and 75 years of age to screen for colon cancer. Some 140,000 people have already received a letter of invitation. It is the first time that men are called to be screened for cancer.

– Ladies For Rizal, Brussels Chapter are continously raising funds for the rehabilitation purposes of Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) victims by selling lumpia to Belgians and Filipino communities. They are also supporting children in Benguet Province who are in need of school materials like papers, pens and pencil.

– After 10 years of being engaged, Belgian Leen Van Nuffels (25) from Aalst believes it is now time to settle down but her fiancé Bart Coppens (27) hasn’t proposed yet. The couple met in a café when they were only 15 and 17 years old. Truly in love, they never separated from then on. Bart laughingly told Leen that he will marry her if he can get 1,000 likes in his Facebook page. Leen posted the call in local newspaper Het Nieuwsblad and she immediately got 139 friends supporting her. Just like any other woman, Leen is dreaming of a traditional wedding proposal which include a ring and a party.
